One thousand three hundred and thirty couplets of seven words each, in 133 chapters of ten, on virtue, wealth and love. Each couplet is given here with G. U. Pope's verse translation, the Drew–Lazarus prose, and three Tamil commentaries.
English: G. U. Pope, 1886 (verse) and W. H. Drew with John Lazarus, 1840 and 1885 (prose) — both public domain. Tamil urai: Mu. Varadarajan, Salamon Pappaiya and Mu. Karunanidhi. Twenty-six couplets carry no prose translation: the source we drew on had Pope's verse duplicated into that field rather than Drew's prose, and rather than pass one translator's work off as another's, those couplets show the verse alone.
